Guys,
the error #2032 is not related to the crossdomain.xml! If you are facing with this issue it means that Xcelsius cannot reach the URL. The possible reasons are 2:
1) the url is wrong
2) in your excel there are special caracters not allowed by XML (i.e. "&"...)

Hope this helps,
Luca

Alex,
SPC (Statistical Process Control) is a set of processes used to measure probability, statistics and in general to "control" the process. Most BI vendors do not have this in their toolset except for notable exceptions of SAS and WPC. There is a new wave of adding what is called "predictive analytics" to the existing product offerings by most vendors - this would probably contain some SPC tools e.g. control charts.

HTH,
Maloy

Hi Maloy,

I also work in BI and I am very interested in the addition of SPC to the BI tools. I think it's very important and will be helpful. I have worked with Universe Designer/Web Intelligence as well as Excelcius and have not come across the SPC aspect. Is is a new addition or new tool?

How would you solve an issue when two fact tables need to use the same dimension except that the granularity of the dimension is different.
In this case, the dimension i am talking about is the Calendar Dimension, this is maintained for every single calendar date with month id, wtr id, year id etc..
We do have two fact tables, one of them can have data only at Month ID level. One of them has data at a calendar date level.

The first fact table ends up in a Many to Many relationship with the calendar join since the join is at Month ID level (a given calendar month has around 30 rows of data with the same Month ID)

Hi,

Could you please complete this article with a case in point?

I don't really understand how set up a user which is in several groups, and therefore in several folder, where he can create reports with several applications: WebI, DeskI, etc.

Thanks in advance.

Hi, I am working on migrating BO reports from 5.1 to XI R 3.1.

In 5.1 I had one report where user had created 4 prompts ( 3,4,5,6) and when he runs the report he gets 6 prompts (1,2,3,4,5,6)
But same report when I migrated to XI R3.1 and when I ran the report, I can see only 4 prompts (3,4,5,6) and prompts (1,2) am not able to see.

I am sure prompts (1,2) in BO 5.1 are not cascading prompts, as cascading prompts was introduced in BO 6x and higher version.
Please let me know, if anyone know from where could be these prompts (1,2) coming ( which user has not created in report himself) and why is it missing in XI R3.1

Thanks,
Ash
